Buttocks Liposuction to Remove Silicone followed by Fat Transfer

This patient in her mid-20s presented to Dr. Siamak Agha after having silicone injections into her buttocks in Mexico. The patient wished to undergo removal of the silicone and reduction of her buttocks. On examination it was noted that the patient’s buttock complexion had changed and she had a blue discoloration of her buttock’s skin.

Dr. Agha planned to perform liposuction to remove some of the injected silicone and then to replace it with her own fat. During a three hours surgery, patient’s buttocks were liposuctioned to remove silicone droplets, and then injected with processed fat that was obtained by liposuctioning her abdomen,  flanks, and back areas.

Patient’s postoperative pictures were taken at eight weeks after her surgery.  As you can see from the pictures, patience over augmented buttocks where appropriately reduced, and her bluish skin discoloration had improved, although not completely restored to a natural color.
